Program: The Thompson
Running Club is coordinating a 12-week walking
challenge designed for Thompson Community members and their teammates
(co-workers, spouses/partners, family members) to track steps for a healthier YOU!
You can borrow pedometers from the Thompson Running Club. We hope to
encourage physical exercise to become an essential part of your every day.
If you have injuries that prevent you from walking regularly, have no fear, you can convert your minutes of “non-walking” activity into steps. You will see a conversion chart in this packet. |

Registration: Sept 10th - 28th Challenge: Oct 1st - Dec 16th |
Eligibility: This program is available to: anyone that lives in the Thompson Area (surrounding area) and your partner (co-worker, spouse/partner, family member/friend). At least one member of your team must be over 18 yrs of age.

Logging Your Steps: You will need to complete the step logs weekly and return them by Wednesday of the next week. Here are options: mail to: Karyn Hippen, 606 Goodwin Ave. Thompson, ND 58278 or drop off at the Thompson City Office, or email the PDF to hippen4@hotmail.com.

Getting Started: To participate and be eligible for prizes, you will need to:
- Decide if you are going on your own, or get into a team of 2, 3 or 4.
- Complete the forms listed at the bottom of the page: registration, pre-assessment and pedometer rental agreement and mail to: Karyn Hippen, 606 Goodwin Ave. Thompson, ND 58278 or drop off at the Thompson City Office by September 28th, 2012, or email to hippen4@hotmail.com.
